Base on: 300 pieces of T8 FL. Light tube, 32W each;

LED T8 tube, 18W each;

Customer: UPS area (upstairs of Ingram Micro building);

Time running: 24/7 per week, so total: 8760hrs/year;

Suppose electricity fee: $0.09/kwh;

Calculation:

  1. 300pcs, T8 Florescent tube energy consumption;

300 x 32W x 24hrs x 365days /1000=84096kwh;

$0.09 x 84096 = $7568.64/yr;

  1. 300pcs T8 LED tube energy consumption;

300 x 18W x 24 x 365days /1000=47304kwh;

$0.09 x 47304 = $4257.36/yr;

  1. Energy saving one year (just from electricity):

$7568.64-$4257.36 = $3311.28

  1. 3 years saving from electricity:

3 x $3311.28= $9933.84

 

LED T8 cost:

       Each T8 cost $28 (including installation labor

      300 x $28= $8400.00

    

After 3 years customer will save:

      $9933.84 - $8400 = $1533.84

 

The LED tubes do not need ballast, so the client will save ballast maintenance fee too. And we supply three years warranty for LED tube (including materials and labor).

So the customer will save maintenance fees during the years.
