Case 2

Operation time every month roughly based on:

24hrs/day, 5days/week, 50wees/year; so the total lighting hours for one year is:

24X 5 x 50 = 6,000.00hrs;

Suppose there are total 100pcs 400watts MH lights and 100pcs 32watts T8 fluorescent lights in the factory. Plan to replace with 100pcs 150watts LED high bay lights and 100pcs T8/T12 LED tubes;

And suppose electricity rate is $0.09/kwhr;

Calculation show below:

  1. For old 400watts MH lights:

100x400Wx 6000hrs/1000=240,000.00kwhr,

240,000 x $0.09=$21,600.00;

  1. For old 32watts T8/T12 fluorescent tubes:

100x 32Wx 6000hrs/1000=19,200.00kwhr,

19,200 x $0.09=$1728

Total: $1,728.00+$21,600.00=$23,328.00

For LED lights:

  1. 150watts high bay lights:

            100X150W x6000hrs/1000=90,000kwh;

90,00x $0.09=$8,100.00

  1. For 18W LED tubes:

100x18Wx 6000hrs/1000=10800kwhr

10800 x $0.09=$972.00

Total: $972.00+$8,100.00=$9,072.00

So Electricity saving for one year: $23,328.00-$9,072.00=$14,256.00;

Electricity saving for three year: $14,256.00 x 3=$42,768.00;
